Asus Announces The Pegasus X002 Smartphone
Even if until CES 2015 is a little bit left, Asus decided that today is a good moment to announce a new device that we’ll probably see it during the tech show in January too. Its name is Asus Pegasus X002, a mid-range phone that brings a 64-bit processor, a 5-inch HD display and a pretty accessible price –$129.
Other specs include a quad-core MediaTek MT6732 processor clocked at 1.5 GHz, a Mali-T760 GPU, 2 GB of RAM, 16 GB space of internal storage, a microSD card slot, a 8-megapixel rear camera with LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera with 88-degrees wide lens and Android 4.4 KitKat with the ZenUI user interface applied on top.
This phone arrives with dual-SIM support, 4G LTE connectivity, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, GPS and a 2.500 mAh battery. Looking at the pictures above, we notice that this device looks a lot similar to the ZenFone 5, both in terms of specs and design. What is your opinion about this new smartphone?

Huawei’s Ascend P8 Metallic Case Shows Up In Live Pictures
A pretty attractive smartphone that was released this year is also the Huawei Ascend P7, device that arrive at a good price on the market. As expected, the Chinese company plans to launch next year a succesor called Ascend P8, phone that could be released at CES 2015 or later in March at MWC.
Through some pictures arrived recently on the web we can take a look on Huawei’s Ascend P8 metallic case, component that unveils the placement of the camera photo sensor and those of the SIM card and microSD card slot. Even if some rumors suggest that Ascend P8 will bring a 5.2-inch FHD display, this case from the picture above seems to be designed for a bigger panel.
Also, some leaks suggest that Huawei Ascend P8 will arrive with an octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 930 processor built on 16 nm. If these specs will be found on the new Ascend P8 smartphone remains to see.

As expected, 2015 will be the year when the Chinese producer Xiaomi will launch on the market theRedmi Note 2 phablet, device that will arrive at a pretty accessible price just as the actual Redmi Note phone does. Samsung Galaxy Note 4 LTE-A Version Coming to South Korea in Mid January
Samsung Electronics announced this week a new version of the Galaxy Note 4, one that comes with an advanced version of LTE. It’s the Galaxy Note 4 S-LTE unit, with support for LTE-Advanced and it will be coming to stores in mid January.

This model will bundle three different bands into one and it will rely on the 3 band LTE commercial service, adapting to all the carrier services. SK Telekom and KT are on the list and the maximum downlink should be around 450 Mbps theoretically. The specs remain the same, with a 5.7 inch Quad HD AMOLED display in tow, 3 GB of RAM and possibly a Snapdragon 810 processor.
We could see a release with the new Exynos CPU on board, the one said to bring LTE Category 10 support. Apparently, the snapdragon 810 is suffering from overheating problems and Samsung wasn’t happy with that. What are your expectations from this model and does it cannibalize the Galaxy S6?
Lumia 1330 (RM-1062) Confirmed by Fresh Benchmark Leak
We’ve been hearing about a potential Lumia 1530 for a while now, but every once in a while there was also the leak of a Lumia 1330, making us believe we’re about to get a pretty solid and affordable new phablet. Today that device was spotted in GFXBench, complete with a list of specs.
The newcomer is codenamed RM-1062 and brings a 14 megapixel camera, among others. It also offers a 5.7 inch screen with a 720p resolution and it runs Windows Phone, in an unspecified version. The device relies on a quad core Qualcomm processor, probably a Snapdragon 400 or 410, if I were to guess. There’s DirectX 11 support on board, 32 GB of storage and apparently a pretty low quantity of RAM, 0.38 GB according to the benchmark.

TCL Mobile Communication have debuted a brand new TD-LTE handset, the TCL i708U model, that’s shown below and it’s coming to China Unicom. This model runs Android 4.4.x KiTKat and has a 64 bit Mediatek MT6732M processor.
This CPU is a quad core one and it’s clocked at 1.5 GHz, plus other specs of the newcomer include a 5 inch IPS LCD HD screen, a 5 megapixel CMOS front camera and a 13 MP main shooter. The TCL i708u is also a dual SIM unit, with micro SIM and nano SIM card slots, plus a microSD one. Bluetooth 4.0 is also on the specs list, together with WiFi dual band. This model has 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage, plus a 2100 mAh battery.
Color variations here include indigo and incense and this one looks like a pretty fashionable device. It adopts a seemingly metallic ring around the edges and keeps a pretty rounded format. Wish we knew what the thickness and weight were here..

Sony’s PlayStation Now game streaming is meant to change the way we look at gaming. Game streaming has been done in the past, but it was never popularized by a major manufacturer like Sony. This time around, Sony is looking to grab partners all over the market, and one of the first will be Samsung.
The Korean manufacturer has announced a partnership with Sony, and select Samsung TVs will come with PlayStation Now during the first half of 2015. Hundreds of PS3 titles should be available for streaming by then.
Opinion: Much like streaming is the future of movies and music, so is it for gaming. Gaming could benefit more from it, in fact. Not everyone has the cash (or need) tu buy powerful consoles that can handle any game. By streaming, you offload the weight on your consoles and let Sony’s servers do all the work. Then you can stream even on affordable devices!

PocketBook has released a video showing the most important assets upcoming news –CAD and CAD Reader Reader Flex. On the second device we covered in the pages of the site tabletManiaK, with the launch of a prototype copy of the Autodesk University 2014 conference.Pocketbook CAD Reader is a proposal reader with E-Ink display with a diagonal of 13.3 "and a resolution of 1600 x 1200 pixels. Closed in the housing components weighing 700 grams and measuring 309 x 241 x 9.6 millimeters. For the smooth operation of the reader responds dual-core unit with 1.0 GHz clock frequency and 2-gigabyte RAM main memory. Data warehouse is and 16 GB of internal memory expandable via microSD memory cards up to 64 GB. Specifications reader also includes: 3G, Wi-Fi wireless module, mini HDMI output, micro USB 2.0 port, USB port, and a battery with a capacity of 8000 mAh, which should provide up to two weeks of work per battery charge. The reader is running Google Android. CAD PocketBook Reader while Flex is equipped with a 13.3-inch flexible display made with E-Ink Mobius, and the rear of impact resistant plastic. And it is all enclosed in a housing with a thickness of only 6.5 millimeters. Opinion: I happen to be a much bigger fan of after-Christmas sales, as opposed to Black Friday or Cyber Monday. It’s when things really get cheap, as stores have a surplus of products that they really want to get rid of and likely won’t sell as fast.

Did you know Samsung has its own stores? They are called Samsung Experience Stores and are similar to what we now find inside Best Buy stores. It’s not the same all over the world, though. In England the manufacturer has major Samsung Experience Stores, similar to Apple’s.
Sales haven’t been doing great for the Korean phone maker, so one store has fallen today. Samsung has closed its London, Westfield Stratford City mall retail location. Samsung did reach out to The Verge, saying the following:
“We remain fully committed to the operation of the remaining nine Samsung Experience Stores across the UK, and wish to reassure our customers that those stores will not be affected by this decision.”
Opinion: This definitely doesn’t look good after Samsung made such a big deal over these stores. Next year they are said to be releasing the Galaxy S6, a completely renovated mobile experience. Let’s hope things get better then.
OnePlus One Promo Clip Reveals Potential New OnePlus Phone
A fresh OnePlus One promo video has revealed by mistake some features that could make the cut on future OnePlus devices. As you know, the OnePlus One is known for being a single SIM smartphone, without a microSD card slot.
Well, in this vid, there’s a phone with dual SIM slots and a microSD, leading us to three theories. Number one: OnePlus Two has been teaser or leaked this way, that seems a very remote possibility, considering it’s two quarters away from launch. Number two: OnePlus One will get a dual SIM version with a microSD card slot, let’s say a Christmas version and this one is the most likely to happen.
Number three: the OnePlus One Mini leaked in China a few days ago is real and it will have these features. That’s very unlikely, seeing how that phone was proved to be a mere fake. Meanwhile, the OnePlus Two is expected sometime in Q2 or Q3, with a 5.5 inch Quad HD display, a 16 megapixel rear camera and a 5 megapixel front selfie shooter, as well as a 3300 mAh battery.
