Microsoft said to acquire calendar app Sunrise
Microsoft is going through a major overhaul, but they are not doing it all on their own. The company has started acquiring start-ups and talent to help them get to the top, where Microsoft once stood as king. New rumors suggest the Redmond-based company has acquires calendar app Sunrise.
The deal is said to have gone for $100 million, but we have no idea what Microsoft intends to do with it. What we do know is that Sunrise is one hell of a calendar app. It may be among the best. It syncs between devices, and has some of the best cross-platform support, allowing you to access calendars from Google, iCloud and Microsoft Exchange.
Opinion: Microsoft did acquire Acompli and then re-branded it as Outlook. Could it be that the same faith awaits for Sunrise?
