Tablet sales falling for the first time in 5 years

Since the creation of the first Apple iPad, which spawned tablets, the market all the time dynamically grow – despite the emergence of hundreds of different models with different systems, they were still buyers of these devices. Everything indicates, however, that in the near future this trend will be reversed – who knows, maybe like a few years ago on the smartphone market, we will see a giant falls, or "retreats" tablet producers from the market.

According to IDC's research, in the last quarter tablet sales fell for the first time since 2010. Compared to the same period in 2013, decreased by 3.2% – from 78.6 million to 76.1. These statistics look a bit more "scary" when we look at individual results manufacturers – Apple sold 17.8% fewer iPads and Samsung – 18.4% fewer tablets with Android. Actually – this news did not surprise me – some time ago I wrote about the predictions of the Institute of Gartner, who declared this fall, motivating him that you had to buy a tablet that already bought it, and these devices do not age as quickly that their users feel the need to change. Source: GSMArena
