ASUS VivoWatch

ASUS VivoWatch

ASUS is no stranger to the wearable market, and they have released one of our favorite Android Wear devices – the ASUS ZenWatch. That watch is not for everyone, though. ASUS is trying to enter another market with an upcoming watch that is said to have a 10-day battery life (WOw!).
It’s said to be a fitness-focused watch of sorts, with the ability to monitor your heart rate, tracking your sleep and more. In addition, it can stay protected from the elements with its IP67 stainless steel body. We can’t tell much more and ASUS isn’t revealing all the details yet, but it looks like ASUS is skipping on Android Wear for this one.
Opinion: I am all for manufacturers developing their own wearable software, but only if they will do the work such a platform requires. Will ASUS keep the watch updated? Will they support it for a long time? We will see, but 10 days of battery life sure sounds sweet.
