It turns out that Google has just made available a firmware update for the Nexus 7 (2012),offering communications through both wireless module WiFi and 3G. Latest compilation brings together Lolipop Android 5.1, which gradually appears on Google Play Edition devices.

Android version 5.1 Lollipop for Google Nexus 7 (2012) has been made available through 3G wireless channel OTA (Over-The-Air). The software brings with it, among other things: improved protection devices so lost or stolen tablet will be locked and the lock will be active even after a factory reset (can be unlocked after logging in to your Google Account), as well as better management of paired Bluetooth devices directly from the quick settings.Source: androidos
