Today, we get to know some first information about the 2nd generation of Chromebook Pixel, a notebook that runs the Chrome operating system developed by Google. Through a bug reported, this model gets leaked, suggesting that its codename is “Samus”.
It seems that a Google employee filed this bug report for issues relating to a DisplayPort USB Type C adapter. However, this bug report arrived with an image of the first Chromebook Pixel. In terms of specs, its successor is expected to arrive with an Intel 5th generation Core M Y-series processor with support for touchscreen input.
Also, this new device could bring an interactive lightbar, a backlit keyboard and an USB 3.1 TypeC port, the same reversible one found on the Nokia N1 tablet. Such a port let us transfer data with a speed up to 10 Gbps. It remains to see what other leaks we’ll get next.
