iPad Pro to feature stylus, Force Touch, NFC and more
Apple is rumored to enter a new market with the release of a rumored iPad Pro, a tablet that is said to come with a 12.9-inch display. We haven’t heard much else, but a new rumor says the device will incorporate Apple’s latest technology… and a bit more.
For starters, it’s said to come with Force Touch technology integrated. This is the same tech that powers the new MacBook’s trackpad, and it allows the computer to recognize with how much force you are touching the product. This could enable new actions that were impossible before.
It’s also said the iPad Pro will come with an NFC chip, allowing for Apple Pay transactions, and possibly accessory pairing. The last bit is what has us going nuts. Though Steve Jobs once said “If you see a stylus, they blew it”, Apple may just be ready to… blow it. Internal sources indicate Apple is working on a pressure-sensitive Bluetooth stylus for this specific device.
Opinion: 10-inch tablets are already too large. I really can’t see myself using a 13-inch iPad. It does look like they are packing quite a bit of tech in there, though.
