Sony enables boot to recovery

Sony enables boot to recovery

“Boot to recovery” may sound like a bunch of confusing words put together to some of you, but it will sound like the sweetest treat to any phone tinkerer or developer. Today marks an exciting new era as Sony frees up a series of devices as part of the Open Devices initiative (Xperia T2 Ultra, Xperia T3, Xperia M2 and Xperia E3).
The idea is that these device bootloaders will allow for booting to recovery, making it much easier to flash ROMs and even other operating systems, such as Firefox OS and Ubuntu Touch. Click on the title to learn more about how to install these new bootloaders!
Opinion: Are any of you guys still flashing ROMs? I feel like that is something we used to do back in the days when phones were slow and we wanted to overclock. Or when a launcher simply wasn’t enough to keep your Android juices flowing. Let us know in the comments!
