Motorola is offering extended warranty package for Nexus 6. Priced at $129.99, Moto Care protects the Android 5.0 Lollipop phablet from accidental damage for a period of two years.
Users can purchase Moto Care for the Nexus 6 within 30 days of buying the device. Curiously, the offer is valid only for handsets purchased from Motorola’s online store. Those who opted for Google Play or a wireless carrier will be left in the cold.
Moto Care protection includes accidental damage and extended mechanical coverage. Users can file up to three claims for the two-year period. Each claim will require a deductible payment of $39. Customers will receive a like-new device in case theirs meets its creator.
Considering that a 64GB Nexus 6 costs $699 (the figure comes dangerously close to $800 when you apply local sales tax), having Moto Care seems like a good idea. The extended warranty package is available for other members of the Motorola lineup as well.
