Tesla Energy to power homes and businesses affordably

Tesla Energy to power homes and businesses affordably

Tesla is mostly known for its work in the automotive industry, but a big factor in their projects is alternative energy. Their vehicles are completely electric, and they want to adapt the same philosophy to your homes and businesses.
powerwall_front_angleEnter Tesla Energy, a new project that willharness the power of solar energy. This type of technology is nothing new, but the novel idea here is the affordable price. These systems are nothing new, really, but they usually cost a fortune.
Tesla is offering the Powerwall for the home. This can be had in either 7 kWh or 10 kWh options, priced at $3000 or $3500, accordingly. These energy units take solar energy and save it, making up for their own price in savings, in the long run. This lithium-ion battery also measures about 3×4 feet, and can be mounted in any wall.
Need something a bit more… juicy? I am sure the bigger businesses and companies do, and Tesla definitely has something for them too. They call it Tesla Energy for Utility applications, and it allows 100 kWh battery blocks to be grouped, scaling from 500 kWh to 10 MWh and more.
Opinion: It’s a new era, and Tesla is proving once again that it wants to lead the movement for future generations to adopt alternative power sources. This is exciting, but are you getting yourself a Powerwall? That is the real question.
