Windows ROM coming to Android?
Microsoft just announced they will be working with Xiaomi to create an Android ROM Mi 4 users can flash. This would allow users tot est the Windows Phone waters and probably jump ship, but both companies continue to reassure us that this is no permanent deal. So, what is the point, then?
TechCrunch has it on good authority that this project is much bigger than we imagined. This likely won’t be something exclusive to Xiaomi devices. It’s said this ROM could reach wider availability and come to other Android devices. Xiaomi just happens to be the testing partner.
Opinion: Would you be interested in flashing Windows Phone to your Android device? I certainly wouldn’t mind doing it for testing purposes. I am not sure I would do it as a permanent thing, though.
