Qualcomm says Galaxy S6 won’t have a Snapdragon 810 processor
Qualcomm has announced its first-quarter fiscal 2015 results. Qualcomm has a lot of cash, the numbers don’t impress us. What does seem interesting is a little something they said in their report.
The company states they have lowered their revenue expectations for the second half of the year because the Snapdragon 810 processor “will not be in the upcoming design cycle of a large customer’s flagship device”. We have no reason to believe HTC is going anywhere else, LG is going in with full force and there simply are no other manufacturers big enough to make Qualcomm change its numbers.
Opinion: Qualcomm is likely talking about Samsung and the Galaxy S6, which is a pretty bad partnership to lose. Let’s hope my fellow San Diegans at Qualcomm can still have an awesome year, though!
